Thin Cell Nano Particles To Revolutionize Energy in 2016

Advancements in solar energy technology have been halting to say the least. This will all change with the launch of thin cell nano particles as a coating in 2016.

Consider the building you are sitting in at this moment. Whether it be a house or commercial structure, the building is exposed to the sun throughout the day. The roof obviously receives a massive amount of exposure, but so do the walls as the sun moves through the sky during the day. What if you could harness all the energy in the sunlight hitting the structure during the day? By 2016, you will.

The new breakthrough in solar technology has been foreshadowed for a long time. It has to do with the research on nano technology. Nano was supposed to revolutionize our lives. Unfortunately, the inability to control millions of tiny computers has proved to be well beyond our abilities at this time. The same is not true with static particles and this is where the solar breakthrough comes in.

The process involves the creations of billions of tiny metal nano particles that can convert the energy in the sunlight hitting them into usable electricity. Each nano particle produces a tiny amount of electricity, but the combined effect of billions of them working together results in a large charge. How do you get billions of them into a panel? Well, you don’t. Instead, you put them in a paint like coating. It is then applied to any structure that is exposed to the wind such as exterior walls, windows and roofing. This effectively turns the exterior of the structure into a giant solar panel.

The breakthrough is really amazing when you think through the possible applications. Consider cars. Electric cars are supposed to be all the rage soon, but the downside is the charging time. Well, why not embed nano particles into the paint job on the car? The car could literally charge constantly so long as the sun is out. That would give the cars a seriously extended range and make them far more applicable. Oil usage and pollution issues would resolve in a matter of years.

When can we expect to see this revolution in our daily lives? The company behind it expects it to be on the market in 2016.
